Nitroglycerin is a very powerful and sensitive explosive. It is the main component of dynamite, which is often confused with TNT. Dynamite is more powerful than TNT, and pure nitroglycerin is more powerful than dynamite.
The purpose of this tutorial is certainly not to promote destruction and/or harmful activity. Then, what is the purpose? The recipe for making nitroglycerin is readily available on the web and accessible to everyone, for example here on Wikipedia, this is not a secret. It is also taught in chemistry classes. There are many tutorials on YouTube, mine is not an exception. The point is that, due to the simplicity of the recipe, many people want to make it for fun, and accidentally harm or kill themselves. The purpose of this tutorial is to show how to do it in a safer way.
The argument that it might serve terrorists is ridiculous. Use common sense: Terrorists receive special trainings for making explosives that are way more convenient than nitroglycerin. They know how to make explosives out of excrements. They would just laugh by watching this tutorial. A kitchen knive can be used to kill someone. Should we sue the knife manufacturer every time this happens? A car is often used by terrorists to kill pedestrians, should we sue the car manufacturer when this happens? Use common sense!
I am a teacher and my vocation is to teach, not to hide knowledge. Hiding knowlege has been done in the past, for example when the church was perfectly aware that the Earth was not the center of the universe, and we all know that doing so didn't do any good. Galileo was almost killed by the church, simply for telling the truth!
Since many people need warning signs (like, don't drink the contents of your car's battery), let me say it: This is extremely DANGEROUS! My advice is don't do it, unless your really need it for something useful and legal, and you know what you are doing. I decline all responsibility in the event of an accident.
So, if you're ready, watch how to make nitroglycerin now!
